A Story Behind Every Property
One of the greatest things about Chicago is that it is a city with soul. The city and all its neighborhoods and streets and buildings have a rich history. So it is with each of my buildings.

Charming little red brick three-flat. The benefits of living in a three-flat are many. There is are only two other units in the building so it’s very private. It also lives like a house with a big backyard and garage. The yard has yet to be landscaped, so I encourage tenants to cultivate and put in vegetable gardens.
The apartments themselves are fully renovated 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartments with massive eat in kitchens, whirlpool tubs, but high ceilings and plenty of light. Langley is also a wonderful, quiet street close to transportation and half a block from the best Jewel Foods market I’ve ever been to. It is excellent!

Wonderful, bright two-flat on one of the best streets in Hyde Park. One building down from the Ronald McDonald House, which features 24 hour security and fully lit up at night. This building is just across 55th street from the UC baseball field and the new medical center.
This building is fully renovated but retains the original layout with full living room, full dining room and large kitchen. Each unit has its own private laundry room on the back porch. A wonderful and large rear deck for each apartment and a nice, bright fully enclosed backyard.
Also, the neighbors just to the north are supremely nice people who have lived there for decades. They keep a beautiful backyard and help with the lawns when I am too busy. I cut their lawns too, when I am on it, and shovel their snow too!

This lovely, red brick six-flat was owned for many years by a UChicago Alum and his wife. They owned another property next to one of my buildings and one day saw me planting flowers or cutting the grass. He just said, “you have a nice building there. If you are looking to buy more, call me.” So, about two years later, when I was ready to grow, I did. I met the man and his wife at Bonjour Café on 55th. A legit Parisienne café where the French pastry chef husband creates incredible breads and baked goods daily and his wife runs the front our house. We met a few times and then amicably agreed on a price and the deal was done. I love this building and the ivy that covers it. Plus it’s in one of the finest areas in Hyde Park.

This is a what’s known as a jumbo three-flat. The apartments are quite large. Each bright, fully renovated apartment has a large, full living room, full formal dining room, deck and front porch. The apartments have three full bedrooms and two full baths, and each has in unit laundry—a wonderful amenity.
There is a really nice, big backyard that has been used as a vegetable garden for years. There are old strawberry plants, sunflowers and more that come back each year. The yard gets a lot of light and I encourage backyard barbecues.
This property is very near the corner of 53rd street, where all the stores, restaurants, cafes and bars are. Kimbark market and Target are two blocks away. Even closer is an excellent convenience store called “Valley of Jordan.” This guy makes the best chicken shawarma sandwich I’ve ever had. He runs a great store and anything you may need in a pinch, he’s got it.
Walking distance to UC campus or a short bus ride.

New plumbing lines, new electrical service, individual heating and cooling, and each two bedroom unit has two full bathrooms. The apartments in this property re bright in the morning through the kitchen and rear deck which face east. Apartments are very bright in the afternoon, with the west facing front windows. Full living room, fireplace and eat in kitchens with large breakfast bars.
This building also has a gated rear parking lot with one space for every apartment.
